Global or mainland China — you choose the region
Model Studio runs separate platforms for the international market and for mainland China. A key only works on the platform where it was created, so AskWatch asks which region your key belongs to and sends your requests there. Pick it next to the key in the Qwen settings.
Paying for it
Qwen runs on your own Model Studio API key: you pay Alibaba Cloud for what you use and AskWatch takes nothing on top. There is no managed route for this provider — an API key is the only way in. You enter the key once on iPhone; AskWatch passes it to your Apple Watch, Apple TV and other devices.
What it will not do
- No Live Conversation. Live voice in AskWatch runs on ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok; AskWatch has no Qwen realtime voice engine.
